Founded in Copenhagen, the brand was the watchmaker of the Royal Court and the Danish navy. After moving to Switzerland, the brand long represented the pinnacle of excellence in watchmaking and design. Urban Jürgensen was relaunched in under the guidance of a new family owner and is experiencing rapid growth that appeals to a new generation of watch collectors and refined handcrafted items. As an independent watchmaking house in full growth, we place excellence, elegance, and customer service at the heart of our Geneva offices, and to strengthen our technical team, we are looking for a Movement Constructor, who will play a key role in the development of our in-house calibers. Integrated into our technical office, they are responsible for technical design, methods, and monitoring. Missions: Design and development New in-house calibers and exclusives. Technical mastery CAD, technical drawings, on Inventor/Vault. Quality & Reliability Technical Updating plans Strict adherence to high-end criteria. Definition of ranges Design of necessary tooling for production. Technical and tuning Lead the tuning of calibers closely with watchmakers and quality to ensure compliance and reliability of our movements. Suppliers Technical management of external partners (feasibility, plan review, control…) Travel Occasional visits to be planned to the Bienne site and to suppliers Continuous Proactive in optimizing existing products and methods Profile: Engineer in mechanics or microtechnology (EPF, HES or equivalent). Experience Minimum 5 years in a similar position, with proven expertise in movements Mastery of Inventor and Vault, Microsoft Office suite, and quality software.
