Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex instrumentation in customer environments. This is a travel and customer‑facing role suited to someone who is technically strong, calm under pressure, and confident troubleshooting electromechanical systems in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair instrumentation at customer sites
Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as multimeters (checking voltages, identifying electrical faults)
Replace and repair components including PCBs/boards, gears, belts, and mechanical assemblies
Handle complex service issues calmly and professionally - maintaining customer confidence at all times
Manage service cases through Salesforce
Plan and schedule your own fieldwork : receive a case, schedule the visit, and manage your route and workload independently
Travel extensively to support customers across the region
Travel & Logistics
Customers may be geographically closer depending on location
Valid driving licence required
Top 3 Requirements
Experience servicing automated, robotic, or semi‑automated equipment
Background can be from industrial, manufacturing, packaging, robotics, or similar environments
Life sciences or biological experience is not required
Strong electromechanical skillset
Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, or chemical systems
Hands‑on troubleshooting experience
Comfortable working as a highly skilled mechanic / service engineer
Able to stay calm in high‑pressure service situations
Understands that when the engineer stays calm, the customer stays calm
Ideal Background
Field Service Engineer, Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Automation Engineer, or similar
Experience working independently in the field
Comfortable balancing technical problem‑solving with customer interaction
