Company: Alstom
About the project
As part of a newly awarded flagship project in Switzerland, Alstom will modernise Lausanne’s fully automated m2 metro line, the backbone of public transport in the region. This major programme (approx. €295 million) combines:
Deployment of Alstom’s next-generation Urbalis Fluence CBTC system
A comprehensive mid-life modernisation of the train fleet
Integration of digital signalling and onboard systems (TCMS)
To support this strategically important initiative, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineering Manager (f/m/d) in Villeneuve.
Your future role
Take on a key leadership role in a highly complex and innovative rail project. You will be responsible for the overall technical coordination and system integration across signalling and rolling stock scopes.

We’ll look to you for:
Act as the primary technical interface towards the customer
Lead the engineering governance of a dual-scope project (CBTC signalling & rolling stock modernisation)
Ensure technical consistency and interface management across all subsystems
Drive system integration, including CBTC and onboard systems (TCMS)
Manage requirements, configuration, and design changes throughout the project lifecycle
Lead preliminary and detailed design phases
All about you

Minimum 10 years of experience in railway system engineering within international turnkey projects
Strong expertise in both signalling (CBTC) and rolling stock
Proven experience in complex system integration and brownfield projects
Solid knowledge of system engineering methodologies (e.g., MBSE)
Understanding of railway safety standards and certification processes
Strong stakeholder management, coordination, and communication skills
Fluency in English and French
Broad understanding of the railway environment and operational constraints
