Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our HR Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a population of approximately 1,800 employees across several Swiss entities. This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities
* Manage the full payroll cycle for several Swiss entities within the group
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to payroll and social contributions
* Prepare social security and withholding tax declarations and liaise with external institutions
* Perform monthly reconciliations between payroll and HR/accounting records
* Manage employee expense reports and administer the health insurance plan
* Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT departments
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and tools
* Provide support during internal and external audits
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Swiss HR certificate is a must
* Proven experience of 5 to 7 years in a similar role, managing multiple Swiss entities
* Strong knowledge of Swiss social insurance systems, including occupational pension law (LPP/BVG)
* Comfortable with payroll-to-HR/accounting reconciliations
* Experience in expense management and health insurance administration
* Proficient in Excel
* Knowledge of Abacus payroll software is a strong asset
* Fluent in English and French; Italian is a plus
* Detail-oriented, highly organized, and reliable
* A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
* Service-oriented, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure with professionalism and empathy
* Comfortable with digital tools and evolving systems
