Your new role
In this exciting position, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Global Medical Affairs Rare Disease. This high-impact position balances strategic thinking and robust execution, to drive medical excellence and scientific communication across portfolios and geographies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Co‑lead the integration of a new asset, working in a highly cross‑functional model to lay the foundation for a new therapeutic area within Novo Nordisk.
* Drive the development of robust Medical Affairs strategies, aligning business priorities with operational plans for Rare Blood and Rare Kidney disease.
* Deliver key medical‑affairs functional activities in early pre‑launch, across medical excellence, launch readiness & medical insights.
* Translate medical strategic priorities into cohesive, consistent, and proactive global scientific communications strategy, ensuring clinical data becomes impactful communication.
* Amplify our scientific communication, advance digital engagement and ensure the translation of complex science into improved clinical care through intentional scientific exchange.
* Foster excellence in medical‑affairs capabilities in both global and affiliate medical teams and maintain state‑of‑the‑art competencies & know‑how within the field of medical excellence & scientific communication.

Your skills & qualifications
We seek an organized, proactive professional with a can‑do attitude, confident communicator, and a data‑driven approach to decision‑making. You excel at influencing across organisational layers, thrive on innovation, and balance strategic vision with operational execution.
What You Will Bring:
* 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with demonstrated expertise in product launches from a Medical Affairs perspective and strong capabilities in medical/scientific communication.
* Extensive prior experience and in‑depth knowledge concerning all aspects of developing and executing the diverse array of deliverables within scientific communications.
* Advanced degree required (MSc, MBA, PhD, or MD).
* Fluency in English with the capability to operate effectively in a global matrix environment and across diverse cultural and scientific settings.
* Outstanding project and stakeholder management skills, particularly within complex matrix environments.
