The Role of a Medical Leader
In our Clinical Development organization, we develop strategies for late-stage drug development to deliver life-changing therapies.
This position guides the development of our CVRM portfolio. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in managing large-scale clinical trials, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making significant contributions to an organization's drug development.
The successful Medical Leader will lead the strategy for assigned molecules/indications, develop the plan, and ensure effective execution. They will act as leaders, performing their responsibilities independently and effectively leading multiple projects.
They will interact with senior management, experts internally and externally, serve as internal consultants to committees, and represent the therapeutic area's strategy to health authorities and thought leaders.
They will provide critical insights and contribute to scientific strategies and plans. They will mentor other physicians/scientists in their disease area of expertise.
Requirements
* MD, MBBS or MD (MBBS)/PhD with significant clinical trial/large scale development experience, preferably in CVRM studies
* 8+ years of pharma/biotech R&D experience
* Experience authoring global clinical development plans and working with various health authorities, including successful interactions with the FDA and EMA
* Extensive understanding of Phase II-III drug development, making significant contributions to an organization's drug development, identifying and creating clinical development strategies that led to label-enabling outcomes
* Significant regulatory experience, providing clinical science information and input for regulatory submissions, briefing packages, and responding to health authority questions
