About the role
We are looking for a highly strategic and commercially driven Associate Director to lead strategic partnerships with a portfolio of Swiss‐headquartered life sciences clients. You will represent IQVIA’s full commercial portfolio and ensure an exceptional client experience, acting as the primary commercial point of contact for this portfolio.
This role is central to how IQVIA engages with some of its most important growth customers. The successful candidate will deepen executive relationships, uncover new opportunities, and orchestrate cross‑functional collaboration to deliver tailored, high‑value solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and expand strategic partnerships with assigned accounts, positioning IQVIA as a long‑term trusted advisor and value‑creation partner.
* Drive sustainable account growth by identifying, developing, and converting opportunities while keeping client objectives and priorities at the center of every engagement.
* Shape and drive executive‑level interactions and negotiations, strengthening senior relationships and advancing IQVIA’s strategic positioning within each account.
* Uncover cross‑sell and upsell opportunities to expand wallet share across IQVIA’s full commercial portfolio.
* Lead and maintain strong collaboration with the assigned commercial Service Line SMEs to shape client proposals, go‑to‑market strategies, and ensure consistent execution.
* Develop deep organizational insight, understanding client governance, influence networks, and decision‑making dynamics to steer strategy and engagement at the executive level.
* Monitor market dynamics, including competitor strategies and client decision‑making, to maintain a competitive edge.
* Actively network across the life sciences ecosystem to bring in fresh insights, best practices, and competitive intelligence.
Candidate Profile
* 8+ years of experience in Account Management, Consulting, or a similar client‑facing role within complex or innovation‑driven industries.
* Exceptional relationship‑building skills, able to establish and sustain trusted partnerships even without a warm introduction.
* Strong strategic and commercial acumen, consistently exceeding revenue and growth targets while maintaining client confidence.
* Skilled influencer and collaborator, able to align and motivate cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders without formal authority.
* Confident negotiator, experienced in managing contractual and procurement discussions with professionalism and precision.
* Structured, resilient, and proactive, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on client success.
* Degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
* Willingness to be on‑site with the client and travel frequently within Switzerland.
