Overview
The Communications Manager (Operational Excellence), serves as a strategic business partner to our core industrial functions, including Cement Manufacturing, Logistics, Geocycle, and Holcim MAQER. Your mission is to accelerate our "NextGen" growth by elevating Holcim’s reputation as the industry leader in sustainability. Working closely with Corporate Communications, you will advise senior leaders on reputation building, shape compelling narratives for global audiences, and foster strategic alignment across multiple geographies. This role is central to driving cultural transformation and ensuring our industry-leading sustainability roadmap is recognized worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as a strategic communications partner to the Operational Excellence leadership team, ensuring all messaging is aligned with the Holcim brand and global strategy.
2. Develop and implement multi-channel communication plans that source stories from across the function to build visibility on both internal and global external platforms.
3. Craft high-impact thought leadership content, including speeches and presentations for senior leaders at global industry forums and investor-facing events.
4. Lead change and transformation communications for major operational initiatives to ensure cultural alignment and successful adoption across the organization.
5. Govern digital and social media strategy for specialized business areas (e.g., Decarbonization, Geocycle), managing external agencies to elevate our online presence.
6. Manage the end-to-end delivery of events and campaigns, overseeing allocated budgets and cross-functional resources to ensure maximum impact.
7. Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness through audits, focus groups, and dedicated KPIs to constantly optimize messaging and engagement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8. 3–5 years of progressive communications experience in a multinational corporation. A background in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial sectors is a strong advantage.
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
10. Expertise in multi-channel communications, digital governance, social media strategy, and brand positioning. Proven ability to lead change communications in a global matrix organization.
11. Exceptional storytelling and strategic thinking skills with the confidence to engage and influence senior decision-makers. High resilience and agility are essential for navigating this fast-paced environment.
12. Native or bilingual level of English is required. Any additional languages are considered a plus.
