Your Mission
As a Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of client work in Switzerland, with a focus on Zurich-based clients and teams. You will own delivery end to end, ensuring quality, predictability, and strong client relationships.
You will act as the primary day-to-day counterpart for client stakeholders, ensuring commitments are met, issues are addressed early, and teams are set up to deliver consistently. You will combine delivery discipline with an engineering mindset, operating confidently in complex, enterprise environments.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Client ownership and delivery leadership
Own end-to-end delivery for one or more client accounts, including scope, timelines, budget, quality, and stakeholder communication.
Establish and run clear execution routines covering priorities, milestones, risks, and decisions.
Ensure transparent and reliable monthly delivery reporting and follow-ups with clients.
Anticipate delivery risks early and resolve them pragmatically, escalating when necessary.
Team leadership and operational excellence
Coordinate staffing and team setup across Switzerland and nearshore locations.
Lead engineering teams content-wise, providing direction on priorities, scope, and delivery expectations, even when you are not the most senior technical contributor.
Work closely with senior engineers on delivery trade-offs, technical constraints, and pragmatic execution decisions.
Take ownership of operational responsibilities that should not sit with senior technical leadership, such as onboarding and offboarding coordination, internal project ownership, and delivery-related internal processes.
Help maintain small, effective team structures that scale sustainably.
Support account growth through strong delivery, trust building, and long-term client relationships.
Understand contract- and SOW-based delivery, change requests, and enterprise delivery expectations.

This role is for someone who is client-facing, structured, and calm under pressure, with a strong sense of ownership and delivery discipline, combined with an engineering mindset .
You are someone who:
Has an academic background in a natural science or engineering discipline, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong engineering thinking.
Has several years of experience managing delivery in IT consulting, software engineering, or data-driven environments.
Is comfortable owning end-to-end delivery, including timelines, budget, and client communication.
Has led engineering teams content-wise before, for example as a project manager, lead developer, product owner, or similar role.
Has hands-on exposure to at least one core engineering discipline such as modelling, software engineering, or data engineering.
Brings programming skills or solid hands-on technical experience, which is a strong plus.
Communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, and raises issues early.
Can coordinate multi-skilled teams with a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset.
Understands software delivery fundamentals, including quality, testing, and predictability.
Is comfortable navigating large-organization dynamics and stakeholder politics.
Is comfortable working in English; German is a strong plus for Zurich-based client work.
Experience in insurance or reinsurance is a plus, but not required.
