Duration: 2 years
* Training in a company in the mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and metalworking industry (MEM)
* Year 1: Basic and supplementary training in the workshop and assembly
* Year 2: Specialised training in a specific area, e.g. container construction, crane assembly or service
* Practical learning with real products for waste disposal systems
Vocational school & inter-company courses
1 day per week Instructions in:
* Technical fundamentals
* Materials and manufacturing technology
Inter-company courses (ÜK): Practical supplement to inter-company training
Completion
* Completed compulsory education
* Enjoyment of working with metal and machines
* Craftsmanship
* Practical and technical understanding
* Accuracy, reliability and independence
* Ability to work in a team and hands-on mentality
