We are seeking a hands-on Developer to support the integration of the Securities Finance Trading system (FIS-SFTC) with a new Core Banking platform. Responsibilities include building, testing, and deploying system interfaces for seamless data exchange between trading and banking systems. You will collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and QA teams to ensure reliable and performant connectivity solutions.
Responsibilities
* Develop, configure, and maintain APIs, services, and data interfaces between trading and core banking systems.
* Implement data transformations and validation to ensure data quality and completeness.
* Work from technical specifications and field mappings to deliver robust integrations.
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD activities.
* Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues during testing and deployment.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to refine designs and ensure standards compliance.
* Maintain documentation for all integration components.
Qualifications
* 8+ years of development experience in system-to-system integration within financial services.
* Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as SQL, Unix scripting, Java.
* Experience with middleware, integration frameworks, or message-oriented architectures (e.g., Kafka, MQ).
* Knowledge of source control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
* Understanding of data quality, logging, and exception handling.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Experience with trading systems or core banking platforms and their integration points.
* Knowledge of financial instruments, securities lending, borrowing, repos, and FIS SFTC solutions.
* Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* English language skills, oral and written, are required.
