About the Role
We are looking for an
IoT Platform Specialist
to design, configure, and optimize a robust IoT ecosystem that connects devices, processes data, and delivers actionable insights. You'll be at the heart of our IoT operations — from platform setup to device integration, data processing, and security — ensuring seamless connectivity and performance at scale.
What You'll Do
Platform Setup & Configuration
* Select and configure IoT tools (e.g., MQTT broker, packet forwarder, or custom platforms) based on business needs.
* Set up device registration, provisioning, and authentication.
* Configure communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP) for device-to-platform connectivity.
Device Integration & Management
* Onboard IoT devices, ensuring compatibility and proper configuration.
* Manage provisioning, firmware updates, and lifecycle management.
* Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
Data Ingestion & Processing
* Build data pipelines to ingest and process IoT data.
* Transform raw data for storage, analysis, and visualization.
* Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.
Security Implementation
* Apply security measures to protect devices, data, and the platform.
* Configure encryption for data in transit and at rest.
* Manage authentication, access control, and secure protocols.
Analytics & Visualization
* Integrate with visualization tools (especially Grafana) for real-time and historical analysis.
Automation & Optimization
* Develop automation scripts/workflows for updates and data processing.
* Optimize platform performance to reduce latency and improve efficiency.
Testing & Quality Assurance
* Test devices and platform components for reliability and scalability.
* Identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and integration issues.
Documentation & Collaboration
* Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices.
* Work closely with product managers, owners, and business stakeholders to align IoT solutions with goals.
What We're Looking For
Required
* University degree in a technical field.
* 3+ years' experience in IoT, Data Analytics, or Cloud Computing.
* Strong knowledge of IoT architecture and communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, AMQP, WebSockets).
* Hands-on experience with open-source IoT platforms, device provisioning, and lifecycle management.
* Proficiency in Python, Java or, plus scripting (Bash, PowerShell).
* Expertise with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
* Strong Linux administration skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Podman).
* Infrastructure automation (Ansible, PowerShell).
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFe, SCRUM) and tools like Microsoft TFS.
