Technical Product Manager Swiss Data Protection Technology - Private Bank
Join HSBC in Switzerland as the Technical Product Manager for Swiss Data Protection Technology. In this hybrid role you will manage tokenisation technology, support system integration for applications hosted outside Switzerland, and provide architectural expertise within Private Banking and Wealth Management.
Responsibilities
* Lead a small engineering team to deliver, operate, and continuously improve the SDPT tokenisation platform on AWS.
* Formulate test strategies, including test automation, data, environments, and non‑functional security testing, in partnership with Product Owners and Security specialists.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, risk controls, data controls, technical standards, service resilience, and recovery time objectives.
* Drive high levels of automation and manage vendor relationships and total cost of ownership for the SDPT platform.
* Define solution designs for changes in the Swiss hosted IT landscape, articulating risks, issues, and technical debt while maintaining design integrity throughout the development lifecycle.
* Collaborate with technical product owners to improve the current landscape, act as an interface to engineering groups regionally and at Group level, and lead proof‑of‑concepts for new technical solutions.
* Lead clear vendor selection decisions and build buy‑versus‑build decisions where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Public Cloud Certified (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Extensive experience in technology engineering or related technical leadership roles with a strong focus on solution architecture in Private Banking / Wealth Management.
* Strong understanding of agile methodologies and backlog management tools (Jira, Confluence).
* Track record coordinating solutions across multiple technology platforms and teams while meeting overall regulatory compliance.
* Analytical mindset with data‑driven decision‑making ability.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Working experience in a Swiss Private Banking context and with AWS.
* Knowledge of Swiss regulations regarding banking secrecy and data protection.
* Coding capability in Python, Java, REST APIs, Spring Boot Microservices.
* Familiarity with physical infrastructure design and experience with Machine Learning, Data Science, and Generative AI is an asset.
