OverviewSenior Software Engineer role at Urban Connect. Zurich-based, on-site. Focused on developing mobility solutions with clients including Google, Roche, IKEA, Hitachi, SWISS Airlines, ETH, Lindt and Sprüngli, Hilti and Avaloq. Our aim is to enable sustainable and efficient corporate transportation across Switzerland and beyond.ResponsibilitiesReinforce and drive forward our backend systems from day one, with ownership of processes under pressure and tight deadlines.Design and build complex yet maintainable systems, handling financial processes (transactions, liabilities, bank cards, company invoices, payments, refunds) and mobility-related services (vehicle sharing, delivery, cargo, taxi).Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for mobility and financial services.RequirementsAt least 10 years of production Ruby experience with Ruby on Rails. Core service is a Rails-based HTTP API with background jobs (Sidekiq), tested with RSpec and deployed in Docker containers using Nomad.
