Your day-to-day responsibilities
As an Editor-in-Chief & Publications Management, you will oversee the development and execution of global scientific publication strategies, ensuring the scientific credibility of PMI science. This involves expanding publication venues, building relationships with publishers, and aligning publication strategies with corporate goals. You will lead the creation of manuscripts, reviews, and scientific communications, and manage a team of medical writers, editors, and publication managers.
More specifically, you'll
* Build and maintain relationships with journal editors to expand publication impact.
* Develop publication strategies across various scientific areas aligned with research goals.
* Stay updated on scientific evidence from third parties.
* Represent publication strategies to leadership and teams.
* Lead and develop a team of publication professionals.
* Implement internal scientific communication tools and literature surveillance strategies.
* Support scientific communication development.
* Manage relationships with vendors and oversee budgets.
* Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely scientific publications.
* Monitor the publication landscape for trends and opportunities.
* Maintain quality management processes from concept to publication.
Who We’re Looking For
* PhD or equivalent in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related fields.
* Successful senior editorial and research experience in top publishing companies.
* Certification from ISMPP or similar, with at least 8 years in scientific communications within pharma or biotech.
* Experience managing large, global publication projects, including observational and clinical studies.
* Strong scientific thinking, data analysis, and understanding of statistical concepts.
* Experience conducting systematic literature reviews.
* Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
* Knowledge of industry standards like GPP, ICMJE, PhRMA.
* Proficiency with publication tools, databases, and AI.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
