The Treasury Recruitment Hub & Executive Search (TTRH) is dedicated to the search of business partner in your company. Treasury domain is its core competency, and with years of collaborative works with its clients, TTRH has developed a strong advisory service, especially with CFO, SME, where treasury function is not yet in place. But also, TTRH act as a real partner with Human Resources that needs support on technical aspects in this domain.
The client is a growing transportation and logistics company with operations across Europe and partners worldwide. With multiple providers, international clients, and complex cross-border flows, they face diverse financial challenges including FX exposure, intercompany settlements, and tax compliance. To support their continued expansion, they are creating a dedicated Treasury function to build it from the ground up.
Your role
As their first Treasurer, you will design and implement the company’s treasury framework. This is a unique opportunity to shape processes, policies, and tools from scratch, while being directly involved in strategic financial decision-making. You will take ownership of liquidity management, foreign exchange exposure, and intercompany transactions, and act as a key partner to management and external advisors on tax and compliance matters.
Job
- Build the Treasury Function: Define and implement treasury policies, procedures, and tools tailored to the company’s international operations.
- Cash & Liquidity Management: Set up cash flow forecasting, ensure liquidity planning, and optimize working capital across subsidiaries.
- Foreign Exchange (FX) Management: Identify FX risks, propose and implement hedging strategies, and monitor exposures.
- Intercompany Transactions: Develop and manage intercompany funding structures, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Banking Relations: Establish strong partnerships with banks and negotiate optimal financing and cash management solutions.
- Tax & Compliance: Liaise with tax advisors and auditors on cross-border taxation, VAT, withholding tax, and transfer pricing issues.
- Reporting & Insights: Create treasury dashboards and reports for management, supporting strategic decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and digitalize treasury operations.
Profile
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline.
- Several years’ experience in treasury, finance, or controlling — ideally in an international SME or logistics/transport context.
- Hands-on mindset: capable of setting up processes and tools from zero, not just maintaining them.
- Solid understanding of FX, banking instruments, and intercompany financial flows.
- Knowledge of international tax issues (VAT, transfer pricing, withholding tax) is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and eager to take ownership of a new function.
