Structural Engineering Expert Wanted
We are looking for an experienced structural engineer to join our team as a Senior R&D Structural Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting finite element simulations of structures under various loads and developing new automations for the structural assessment of products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct finite element simulations of structures subject to static and dynamic loads (fatigue, shock, short-circuit, seismic, lifting, etc.)
* Develop new automations for the structural, thermomechanical, and acoustic assessment of products
* Conduct feasibility studies, develop new technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their expected performances
* Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products
* Lead product and technology development in the field of Dry, Traction, and Oil Distribution Transformers, delivering results on time and within scope and quality
* Support the transfer of technology and knowledge from R&D to engineering by writing design rules, preparing training, and collaborating with the design tools team
* Provide technical support to other departments as needed
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical or aerospace engineering, with several years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering. Advanced knowledge of structures under seismic, fatigue, shock, and thermal loads is essential, as well as experience with finite element analysis and ANSYS Workbench suite. Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Visual Basic, and Python is also required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• PhD or MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Several years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Advanced knowledge of structures under seismic, fatigue, shock, and thermal loads
• Experience with finite element analysis and ANSYS Workbench suite
• Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Visual Basic, and Python
