Job description: The opportunity
EY's Transactions Corporate Finance (TCF) department is a unique nexus between the corporate finance and the M&A transactions landscape, with a focus on M&A Advisory, Transaction Diligence, and Valuation Modeling & Economics. By joining us, you will be stepping into an environment marked by ambition, drive to perform, resilience, and our overarching purpose of building a better working world. Our team is composed of dynamic and diverse individuals who thrive on collaboration, innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit, fueled by a clear “YES, can do” mentality.
When starting at EY TCF, you will gain a wide range of experience during your initial years. You will be staffed across sectors and different domains (types of projects and deliverables like Due Diligence, Valuations, or M&A Lead Advisory). This provides a broad foundation of knowledge, enabling you to become a well-rounded transaction advisor with both technical excellence and deep sector understanding as your career develops. To reinforce our growing Transaction Diligence team in Geneva, we are currently seeking a Senior Consultant.
Your key responsibilities
While traditional Financial Due Diligence is a core element, Transactions Corporate Finance is broader, and you will also assist in M&A advisory and Valuation support, including preparation of transaction documents, company valuations, market research, financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic decision support.
* Perform Financial Due Diligences related to the sale or acquisition of companies with a young, dynamic, multicultural project team;
* Help identify risks and considerations affecting the purchase price and contribute to share/asset purchase agreements;
* Utilize state-of-the-art analytics tools in your analysis and explore opportunities to implement digital solutions within SaT;
* Analyze virtual datarooms and support the Q&A process during due diligence;
* Assist in the signing to closing phases;
* Prepare detailed reports outlining due diligence findings;
* Gain experience across different sectors, developing industry-specific expertise and benefiting from international mobility programs.
Skills and attributes for success
* Completed university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or STEM fields, with a preference for Chartered Accountant (Swiss CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) or CFA qualification, though not mandatory;
* Two to four years of Transaction Diligence experience in a Big4 environment is required;
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and French, both verbal and written; proficiency in German and Italian is a plus;
* Knowledge of analytical tools such as Alteryx, PowerBI, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
* Leadership experience, including liaising with senior advisors, supervising juniors, and collaborating with sell-side or buy-side advisors;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Exceptional team player capable of working effectively at all organizational levels.
