About the role:
We are seeking a Technical Writer with strong engineering affinity to take responsibility for the
creation and maintenance of technical documentation for our high-precision machining systems. This
permanent role (80%–100%) offers a stable technical workload within an advanced mechanical,
optical, and laser engineering environment.
The role requires close collaboration with engineering, R&D, software development, customer
support, and product management to ensure all documentation is technically accurate, compliant
with internal standards, and fully aligned with system architecture and product functionality.
Depending on your background, involvement in machine project supervision - from order specification
to factory acceptance -may be integrated into the role.
Your main responsibilities:
* Author and structure operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service manuals for
high-precision machines
* Develop training materials and technical documentation for end users and field engineers
* Produce specification sheets, release notes, and product updates
* Collect and organize information from engineering, R&D and support teams
* Manage the full documentation lifecycle: drafting → review → approval → release
* Coordinate translation workflows (EN/DE/FR and others)
* Implement documentation governance: revision control, configuration management, and
controlled releases
* Contribute to documentation projects within the Customer Support department
Your profile:
* Technical education (HES or equivalent) or strong industry experience
* Demonstrated experience producing manuals for industrial machines, CNC systems,
automation equipment, or machine tools
* Experience in project supervision or machine delivery processes is a strong advantage
* Excellent written English; proficiency in German and/or French is an asset
* Proficient with editorial/illustration tools (Adobe, CorelDraw, Word, etc.)
* Able to understand complex mechanical, optical and laser systems
* Strong attention to detail and high quality standards
* Autonomous, structured and comfortable interacting with technical teams
