Eawag is an internationally networked aquatic research institute within the ETH Domain. It conducts research, education, and expert consulting to meet human needs for water while maintaining aquatic ecosystems.
We are seeking a Tenure Track Group Leader in Aquatic Physics to conduct research on surface waters, focusing on large-scale processes and fluxes in lakes, reservoirs, and rivers.
The role involves contributing to our mandate in education and expert consulting, with opportunities to extend our expertise to three-dimensional processes and develop an independent research program.
Key qualifications include:
* a PhD in environmental sciences or engineering
* an excellent research record related to aquatic physics
* interest in developing a strong academic research program focused on physical processes and modeling
* excellent communication skills and ability to work interdisciplinarily
* fluency in English and competence or willingness to develop competence in one of the Swiss national languages
