Internship: AI Integration Engineer (LLM & RAG for Enterprise Document Management)
ELCA's Mosaic IIM Solutions is Switzerland's expert for tailor‑made Intelligent Information Management, helping organizations streamline digital processes, reduce costs, and maximize information security across diverse projects and various industries.
In this internship, with planned start date in September 2026, the objective is to build an AI‑powered knowledge assistant that connects Mosaic's product documentation and configuration sources with a large language model, to achieve a complex product knowledge base instantly accessible to business analysts and users.
Your responsibilities
Analyze and consolidate existing product documentation spread across multiple platforms (Confluence, Wikis, JIRA, YouTrack) to build a structured knowledge base for LLM integration
Design and implement a Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline that connects Mosaic IIM's information sources with a large language model
Build and iterate on an AI‑powered search and summarization tool that helps business analysts and product users find and extract relevant information faster
Integrate external information sources and tools using modern integration protocols such as MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Develop functionality that allows users to query the current product configuration, e.g. to verify consistency or retrieve configuration details on demand
Collaborate closely with experienced software architects and product experts to understand complex domain logic and translate it into AI‑accessible knowledge structures
Support testing and evaluation of the AI tool, including accuracy of retrieved information and quality of generated summaries
Document your solution architecture, integration approach and findings in a clear and reproducible way

Your profile
You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a related field
You have solid knowledge of LLMs, RAG architectures and how to integrate them with existing information sources, ideally including hands‑on project experience
You are comfortable with standard development tools and languages such as Java, Python or Angular, and work confidently in environments like IntelliJ
You have a structured, analytical mindset and enjoy breaking down complex systems into understandable components
You work independently, communicate proactively and are motivated to deliver something that has real impact for end users
Fluency in German and English (verbally and written); French is a plus
Experience with developer tools like IntelliJ, Openshift or similar platforms is a plus
