As a Purchasing Intern, you will be working closely with the Planning & Purchasing Senior Manager to ensure accurate data entry and maintenance on computer systems and in archives.
Core Responsibilities:
* Insert product and account data into computer systems within time limits
* Compile and verify information for accuracy before inputting it into computer systems
* Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct them as necessary
* Apply data program techniques and procedures to maintain data integrity
* Generate reports and store completed work in designated locations
* Purchase Order (PO) scheduling and issuing for samples, passback, and bulk production
* Ensure timely follow-up on Purchase Orders to meet high on-time performance standards
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills
* Able to adapt to changes and work under pressure, with a positive attitude and team player mentality
* Familiarity with vendor management and negotiation, with proficiency in MS Office package (Excel knowledge is mandatory)
* Fluent written and spoken English required; additional languages are considered an asset
