Our Financial Crime Compliance Department seeks an experienced Geneva Head of Onboarding & Periodic Reviews, with a background in Private Banking KYC/AML, to lead the Geneva team.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise and train the Geneva Team, fostering a positive culture aligned with EFG's values, promoting operational excellence and collaboration;
* Define objectives and manage performance, including effective appraisal and skills development;
* Manage workload, assign priorities, monitor progress and support team members in addressing potential roadblocks;
* Act as main contact person for local Head of Private Banking on onboarding & periodic reviews matters;
* Prepare comprehensive compliance analysis and recommendations for account openings and assessments of KYC risks;
* Cover relationships through due diligence and risk classification, analyzing flow of funds and consistency with KYC information;
* Present cases of higher risk to the Client Acceptance Committee, providing relevant risk assessments and compliance recommendations;
* Advise and support front office on Financial Crime Risk and code of conduct;
* Assess clients' tax transparency risk and related elements;
* Manage requests from other departments/third parties, transactions approval or else;
* Support implementation of new systems and tools;
* Propose process, system and policy improvements;
* Evaluate potentially suspicious issues and escalate to stakeholders;
* Support internal and external audits or specific projects upon request.
Required Skills and Experience
* At least 5+ years experience in compliance roles with strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practice;
* Strong people management skills and good knowledge of current sanctions regulations;
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies;
* Professional English required; Swiss National languages and any additional language a plus;
* Ability to work independently and act with integrity;
* Strong time management and organizational skills;
* Superior attention to detail to ensure high quality files;
* Must be a strong communicator, resolve conflict and capable of expressing oneself clearly;
* Possess a robust collaborative personality and be open to suggestions.
