About Our Client
Our client is looking for a hands-on and independent Interim financial Controller to support their finance team during a business unit carve-out. The company is going through a transaction and needs temporary reinforcement with strong Controlling experience and the ability to conduct basic financial analysis. Hybrid position (more on-site presence expected in the beginning).
Job Description
* Take ownership of general ledger management and support accurate and timely monthly closings
* Assist in financial controlling tasks related to a business unit divestment, including tracking and analysis of transactional activities
* Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure adherence to internal control standards and accounting policies
* Support the Finance Manager with financial analysis, variance reviews, and the preparation of Excel-based reports and dashboards
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure transparency in cost allocation and reporting
* Document key processes and ensure a smooth and structured handover of financial responsibilities
The Successful Applicant
* Several years of experience in financial controlling and GL accounting, with a strong grasp of end-to-end finance processes
* In-depth knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and internal control frameworks
* Skilled in financial analysis, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closings
* Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage for internal coordination and document handling
* Hands-on experience with Abacus is required, especially in reporting and data extraction
* Proactive, analytical, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Comfortable liaising with cross-functional stakeholders to support accurate reporting and decision-making
