We are looking for a Senior Application Engineer to support an ongoing IFRS 17 migration project. The role focuses on translating raw insurance data into IFRS 17–compliant, auditable financial outputs within SAP FPSL and subledger solutions. You will work in a microservices-based environment, collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality applications.
Translate raw insurance data into IFRS 17–compliant and auditable structures for SAP FPSL / subledger
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and data integration services
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to align technical solutions with IFRS 17 requirements
Develop and implement accounting, reconciliation, and reporting functionalities
Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability
Prepare unit tests and support automated testing strategies
Ensure compliance with CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes
Perform code reviews and resolve bugs in deployed applications
Design monitoring metrics and dashboards to improve application visibility and control
Contribute to release automation and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements Strong experience in Java application development and microservices architecture
Solid understanding of IFRS 17 and insurance accounting data flows
Hands-on experience with SAP FPSL or financial subledger solutions
Experience working in cloud environments, preferably Azure
Strong knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and build pipelines
Experience with unit testing and code quality practices
Ability to understand and apply architectural guidelines in technical decisions
Experience with Python for data analysis or reconciliation is a strong advantage
