Overview
The Director, US Field Education & Enablement is a critical people-leader role responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving field education and enablement for US Sales and Clinical teams. This leader ensures the field organization is exceptionally trained, confident, and clinically credible, driving excellent patient outcomes and establishing the company's field teams as trusted partners to customers.
This is a working leadership role that blends strategic ownership with hands-on execution. The role owns training strategy, content development, delivery infrastructure, and performance measurement across new hire onboarding, certification, recertification, and continuing education. The role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Field Education Strategy & Leadership
Own the end-to-end US field education and enablement strategy for Sales and Clinical roles.
Build and lead a high-performing field education team, establishing clear standards, expectations, and accountability.
Position field education as a strategic driver of clinical excellence, commercial performance, and customer trust.
Training Design, Content & Marketing Alignment
Oversee development and execution of:
New hire onboarding and role-based curricula
Initial certification and ongoing recertification programs
Continuing education aligned to clinical evidence, product expertise, and competitive differentiation
Partner closely with Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across:
Product positioning and value propositions
Competitive differentiation and objection handling
Launch narratives and lifecycle updates
Translate clinical data, evidence, and market insights into clear, field-ready learning that reinforces commercial strategy.
Learning Management System (LMS) Ownership
Lead the development, optimization, and governance of the Learning Management System (LMS) to support scalable, role-based field education.
Ensure the LMS enables:
Efficient onboarding and certification tracking
Ongoing learning and recertification
Visibility into readiness and training completion by role and individual
Partner with IT, Marketing, and Commercial Operations to ensure the LMS supports broader enablement and launch needs.
Execution & Field Impact
Drive consistent, high-quality execution of training programs across the US field organization.
Ensure training builds confidence, competence, and credibility for field teams in customer-facing environments.
Partner with field leadership to align education priorities with territory needs, performance gaps, and business objectives.
Analytics & Field Effectiveness
Guide development of education and enablement analytics to assess field readiness and effectiveness.
Define and monitor key metrics such as:
Certification and recertification completion
Training engagement and readiness indicators
Field confidence and performance feedback
Use data and insights to continuously improve training strategy, content, and delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with:
Sales Leadership to align enablement with selling and account strategies
Marketing to ensure alignment with product strategy, launches, and messaging
Clinical Affairs and Medical Affairs to ensure scientific rigor and evidence-based education
Regulatory and Quality to ensure compliant training practices
NPI and Product teams to support successful product introductions
Serve as a core contributor to launch planning and commercialization readiness.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Proven experience leading field education, enablement, or clinical training in a regulated healthcare or medical device environment.
Demonstrated ability to operate as a team-oriented, hands-on, execution-focused leader.
Experience owning or significantly influencing LMS strategy and deployment.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, and Product teams.
Ability to travel up to ~75% of the time.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex clinical and technical information.
Passion for developing people and improving patient outcomes.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role will have direct reports with clinical and professional education backgrounds.
Experience managing remote and in-office team members.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, And TRAINING
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or certification a plus
Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system
The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis
