Our client is a leading global commodity trading firm.
Responsibilities :
* Perform day-to-day General Ledger accounting activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
* Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports.
* Support internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
* Participate in process improvements and automation projects to enhance efficiency and controls.
* Maintain and update procedural documentation related to GL processes.
Requirements :
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 3+ years of relevant GL accounting experience; commodity trading or energy sector experience is a strong plus.
* Experience with ERP systems
* Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with reconciliations and large data sets.
* Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
* French and English fluent
