Junior Cyber Security Operations Engineer (f/m) 100%
The Franke Cyber Resilience Services is a global corporate function aimed at strengthening the cyber resilience of the Franke Group. By joining us, you will work with a truly international team and be exposed to the latest security solutions from top‑notch vendors and managed service providers. In our scope, we define protection strategies for a wide range of technologies, including cloud environments, IoT, and automated Industry 4.0 environments.
We are seeking a talented and technically savvy individual to join our global team. You will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, giving you top‑management visibility from the very first day.
Your responsibilities
* Drive incident identification and response strategies based on deep technical expertise, in close collaboration with our outsourced Managed Detection and Response provider
* Defend Franke against information security incidents by identifying, analysing, investigating, communicating and containing complex incidents that elevate to Level 2 and 3
* Operate and continuously improve the vulnerability management program across IT and OT environments, prioritising mitigations based on business‑risk exposure
* Serve as the single point of contact for technical inquiries related to vulnerabilities and security incidents
* Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities and attack techniques to support proactive incident detection and response
* Collaborate with external penetration testers, threat hunters and contribute to internal red‑teaming efforts to assess and enhance the organisation’s security posture in a controlled and strategic manner
Your skillset
* A minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in a similar position, especially with:
o A Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Centre (CSIRC) or a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
o Handling vulnerability‑management programmes for IT/OT assets
* Hands‑on experience with the Microsoft Defender suite and Microsoft Sentinel is an advantage
* Fluent in English, both oral and written
* A self‑starter able to find responses to complex security scenarios by blending your own experience and knowledge of relevant security resources
* Interested in occasional business travel (<10%)
