This role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise and planning to ensure a secure, efficient, and future-proof IT environment. The IT Infrastructure Officer will be overseeing internal IT systems, planning network structures, data management and storage solutions, while coordinating with external service providers where necessary.Responsibilities:Oversee and manage InSphero’s IT infrastructure, including networks, storage, and security systems.Ensure smooth operation, reliable data access, maintenance, and support of Microsoft SharePoint and Windows-based IT environments.Establish secure internal and external data sharing solutionsImplement and maintain IT security policies, access controls, and cybersecurity measures.Develop and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and IT-related issues.On- and off-boarding of new staff members from an IT perspective.Assess, plan, and optimize InSphero’s network architecture, ensuring scalability.Develop and implement data management and storage concepts for large TB-scale imaging and RNA sequencing data in collaboration with scientific teams.Evaluate cloud vs. on-premises storage options to balance cost, performance, and compliance needs.Support the integration of Laboratory Information Management SystemsWork closely with internal teams to understand IT needs and provide effective solutions.Manage IT licenses.Manage relationships with external IT service providers for specialized support, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity.
