About The Team You Are Joining
IATA provides the aviation industry with a range of data solutions to help airlines, GDS’s, airports and other industry players manage ticket pricing, collection and verification of charges. These solutions are used by airlines to optimize revenue and minimize costs. As the industry modernizes and moves away from these legacy process and systems, there is a need for solutions to automate the management of financial charges, minimize costs, and optimize operations.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Aviation Taxes, Charges, and Pricing Solutions, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to managing airline taxes, fees, and charges (TFCs) compliance solutions and driving the development of next-generation aviation charges solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with airlines, authorities and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure there is consistent interpretation and application of TFC’s across the industry from pricing, ticketing and interline revenue accounting. You will play a key role in the development and execution of IATA’s new Ticket Tax Box Service (TTBS) AutoCheck solution. TTBS AutoCheck represents the next evolution of TTBS, offering the industry consistent and precise TFC calculations based on passenger and itinerary details.

As Senior Manager, Aviation Taxes and Charges Compliance, your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with Airlines & Authorities: Engaging with airlines, governments, and regulatory authorities to clarify any ambiguities in TFCs before they are published in TTBS.
* Providing Subject Matter Expertise: Acting as a key resource for TFC interpretation and application queries within the TTBS Operations team, including Level 3 support for customer inquiries.
* Managing TFC Rule Configuration: Overseeing the daily configuration and updating of TFC rules within the TTBS AutoCheck rules engine.
* Leading the Tax Governance Group: Facilitating industry dialogue to address complex tax issues from the TTBS community and driving their resolution through standards or product development.
* Supporting IATA’s Tax Policy Initiatives: Providing subject matter expertise on passenger ticket and order taxes for campaigns, webinars, and industry engagements.
* Contributing to TTBS AutoCheck Development: Actively participating in requirement discussions, solution development, and testing to enhance the TTBS AutoCheck platform.
