About JRP|Editions

Since 2004, JRP|Editions (formerly JRP|Ringier, 2004–2018) has established itself as one of the leading international independent publishers of contemporary art. We work in close collaboration with artists, galleries, museums, and institutions to produce a wide range of publications and limited-editions—such as lithographs, screenprints, sculptures, mirrors and series of unique works.

Our catalogue includes over 500 titles and an expanding selection of limited editions by renowned contemporary artists. We are an international team based between Zurich, Paris, Los Angeles and New York, dedicated to sharing powerful artistic voices and high-quality artworks with a global audience.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Business Development & Sales Intern to support our growth by expanding our collector base, strengthening client relationships, and driving sales across our inventory of editions. Based in Zurich, you will be at the forefront of our sales activities—engaging directly with collectors, advisors, galleries, and institutions worldwide—while also providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth operations.

This role offers a commission scheme based on sales, making it an excellent opportunity for someone eager to enter the art market and combine commercial drive with a passion for contemporary art.

Key Tasks

Sales & Business Development

* Support sales expansion by proactively identifying and engaging new collectors, advisors, galleries, and institutions to expand our client base and drive sales across our inventory of editions.
* Explore new marketplaces and initiate sales outreach to support the expansion of our distribution network across Europe, the US, and Asia.
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients through personalized outreach, follow-ups, and tailored offers.
* Carry out market research and prepare reports.

Client Service & Administration

* Act as a point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring professional and timely responses regarding orders, shipping, and product details.
* Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering prompt and professional service via email, phone, and online channels.
* Support e-commerce operations: process online orders, update databases and other internal documents, coordinate with the warehouse to ensure timely fulfillment via email, phone, and online channels.
* Create and update of online entries across our websites and other online platforms.
* Support internal teams in the preparation of new projects and releases.

Requirements

* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn new software tools.
* Familiarity with the use of AI applications (e.g., ChatGPT and other productivity or creative tools) and curiosity in identifying, testing, and proposing new AI solutions to improve workflows and sales outreach.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Proactive, with a customer-centric approach and results-oriented mindset
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and to adapt in a fast-paced environment with constantly-changing priorities.
* Creative, solution-driven approach to facing new tasks and situations.
