Internship – Advanced Technology / Rapid Prototyping

We are looking for acurious, hands-on internto support our Advanced Technology team inrapid prototyping with 3D-printed mouldsused on injection and compression moulding machines.
Main Tasks
Plan and run simpleparameter studiesfor rapid prototyping (e.g. resin type vs. mould temperature, curing temperature, exposure time).
Investigate the influence ofrubber viscosityand process conditions on filling behaviour and part quality.
Prepare and comparereinforced resinswith different reinforcement types (e.g. glass fibre, carbon fibre, fillers) in standard test geometries.
Help definetest conceptsfor rapid prototyping parts (what to measure, how to compare, acceptance criteria).
Perform basicpart testing: visual and dimensional checks, simple mechanical/functional tests, behaviour under different temperatures and pressures.
Document results in a clear, structured way (Excel overviews, short test summaries, photos).
Assist in simple “material design” tasks, e.g. combining resins and reinforcements, preparing small batches and comparing handling and performance.
Profile
Student in a technical field (e.g. mechanical engineering, materials science, plastics, production, mechatronics)
Strong interest inmaterials, processes and parameter effects
Enjoys hands-on lab/workshop work and structured testing
Basic Excel skills and willingness to document experiments carefully
Curious, reliable, and open to learning new technologies (SLA/SLP, moulding, testing)
At the time of the internship, the intern must be enrolled at an university in Switzerland
