The Lemanic Institute for Regenerative Medicine (LIRM) is a non-profit organization founded in 2023 at the forefront of innovation in therapeutics and patient care. At LIRM we are dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge on chronic diseases associated with aging, with a focus on innovation and translation into concrete solutions for patients. Position Summary
The Scientific Communication manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that effectively communicate the institute's research, foster engagement with diverse stakeholders, and build a vibrant community around translational research for aging and chronic diseases. This role bridges science and society, ensuring that our work reaches high visibility to allow broad impact for people.
This position is 6-month internship open to people registered at the Swiss unemployment office as part of the BNF program.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate complex scientific findings into accessible, accurate content for diverse audiences (scientific community, healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public).
* Generate educational content to foster awareness to public health issues linked to aging.
* Develop and manage content for multiple platforms: website, newsletters, social media.
* Prepare materials, including infographics, explainer videos and media briefings.
* Monitor and evaluate KPI, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Coordinate with local and international media to promote the institute's achievements and research.
Ensure consistency and clarity in messaging, aligned with the institute's vision and values.
Qualifications & Skills
* Master's degree (or higher) in Life Sciences, Public Health, Communication, or a related field.
* Strong background in science communication, preferably with experience in biomedical or health research.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is a plus)
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiarity with digital communication tools (social media platforms, content management systems, design tools).
* A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build trust and foster connections across diverse groups.
Desirable
* PhD in a biomedical or health-related field.
* Proven ability to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging, accessible narratives.
* Experience working in research institutes, universities, or healthcare organizations.
* Knowledge of aging research, chronic disease, or health policy landscapes.
* Skills in multimedia content production (video, podcasting, graphic design).
