Overview
We're currently assisting a global firm in the FMCG industry with a confidential search for an Indirect Category Manager in Zug, Switzerland. This is a dynamic and pivotal role for an all-rounder who can balance strategic planning with hands-on, tactical execution. You will be responsible for a wide scale indirect portfolio, focused on delivering commercial value through a data-driven approach. The base salary for this position is CHF 130,000 + bonus.
Responsibilities
* Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for a portfolio of indirect goods and services, including professional services, media buying, IT services, and corporate functions and more.
* Data-Driven Decisions: Utilise advanced spend analytics to identify trends, model opportunities, and shape category strategy to deliver quantifiable savings and efficiencies.
* End-to-End Procurement: Manage the full source-to-contract process, from market analysis and RFI/RFP development to complex contract negotiations and supplier selection, acting as a hands-on partner throughout.
* Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for all procurement-related matters.
* Process & Policy Management: Implement and enforce robust procurement policies and processes to ensure compliance, manage risk, and mitigate maverick spend.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing.
* Demonstrated expertise as an all-rounder who is comfortable managing both strategic category plans and the day-to-day tactical requirements of the role.
* A strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with a track record of translating complex data into actionable business and procurement strategies.
* Proven technical skills in procurement tools and systems, including e-sourcing platforms and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).
* Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to operate effectively and independently in an environment with limited administrative support.
