Overview

Your mission

At AVIAN, our mission is clear: we stop fires before they start. Our advanced infrared camera systems and AI-driven monitoring solutions help manufacturers protect people, assets, and the environment from devastating fire risks. Having reached product-market fit, we are now focused on a singular goal: scaling our recurring revenue (ARR) to $10M+. We have the product and the proof; now we need the engine.


Why this role matters

You will be the first dedicated marketing hire at AVIAN. While our SDRs handle 1-on-1 outreach, you are responsible for the 1-to-Many strategy. You will turn AVIAN into an industry authority so that when we walk into a trade fair or pick up the phone, the market already knows, trusts, and wants our solution.


What you’ll do

* LinkedIn & Brand Authority: Own our social presence. Create high-signal content for the company page and ghostwrite for leadership to build "founder brand" authority in the industrial and insurance sectors.
* Website & Search Dominance (SEO & AIO): Continuous optimization of avian-iot.com to increase traffic. You will ensure we are discoverable not just on Google, but within the new landscape of AI-driven search (AIO).
* Lead Generation Funnels: Design and build landing pages that convert visitors into demos. You will own the "hand-off" from marketing to the sales team.
* Lifecycle Marketing: Create and manage email campaigns that nurture cold leads, re-engage old prospects, and maximize the value of our existing database.
* Event Mastermind: Plan and execute our presence at trade fairs. This includes everything from the physical (banners, premium merch) to the digital "surround-sound" (pre-event hype and post-event follow-up).
* Budget & Paid Growth: Propose, manage, and optimize budgets for paid ads (Google, Meta, LinkedIn). You will run lean experiments, prove ROI, and scale.


How success is measured

* Inbound Pipeline: Growth in MQLs (Marketing Qualified Leads) and demo requests.
* Brand Awareness: Increased organic search volume and social engagement.
* Event Performance: Number of high-value meetings booked prior to and during industry fairs.
* Predictable Growth: Establishing a clear CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) to help us reach $10M ARR.


30/60/90-day plan

* 30 Days: Audit current assets; take over LinkedIn; optimize top 3 landing pages; propose a 90-day marketing budget.
* 60 Days: Launch first paid ad experiments; refresh event "merch & booth" strategy; implement automated email nurture sequences.
* 90 Days: Establish a predictable monthly inbound lead floor; deliver a playbook to increase our ARR.


Your profile

Must‑haves:

* Startup/Scale-up DNA: You have a proven track record of helping a startup grow (from $1M+). You understand how to build when there is no "playbook" yet.
* 2+ years in B2B Marketing: Specifically in Growth, Demand Gen, or Digital Marketing.
* Entrepreneurial Execution: You don\'t just "manage" agencies; you are a "doer" who can write copy, set up campaigns, and analyze data yourself.
* Budget Ownership: Experience proposing and managing marketing budgets where every dollar must be justified by ROI.
* Technical Literacy: Hands-on with HubSpot (or similar), CMS platforms, and basic design tools (Canva/Figma).

Nice-to-haves:

* Experience in IoT, Manufacturing, or Insurance-tech.
* Proficiency with AI tools to multiply content output.
* Based in Zurich or the US (major hubs preferred).


Compensation & benefits

* Base Salary: CHF 90,000 – 100,000
* Performance Bonus: Up to 15–20% tied to MQL targets and ARR milestones.
* Equity: Depending on experience, ownership stake (standard 4-year vesting, 1-year cliff).
