Associate Director – Flights Marketing

The Performance Marketing Team of Agoda is a world leader in online marketing. This department is highly data-driven and focused on developing at-scale marketing programs that improve the lifetime value of Agoda customers through measurable marketing programs and channels. The team blends the best analysts, marketing strategists, and data scientists, and fosters a great learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co‑own the Flights PnL with Product counterparts
  • Define the overall Marketing Strategy for the Flights Vertical
  • Execute the strategy: spearhead development, execution, and optimization for growing Agoda’s Flights business across channels (e.g., CRM, Paid Performance marketing, pricing)
  • Guide, coach, and manage a team of analysts and managers
  • Conduct end‑to‑end analysis of large, complex datasets related to channel performance, user behavior, and market trends, translating raw data into actionable insights
  • Develop hypotheses, design experiments (e.g., A/B tests), and build structured analyses to rigorously evaluate campaign effectiveness and drive data‑driven decisions for channel growth
  • Partner closely with various business functions, especially Marketing Accommodation, Flights product, and flights supply, to identify opportunities, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using techniques and tools such as SQL or Tableau
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Communicate complex findings, performance updates, and strategic recommendations clearly and concisely to key stakeholders, including senior management

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience: 10+ years in marketing analytics or related projects involving big data – preferably in tech, e‑commerce, or digital marketing. Experience articulating strategic issues and negotiating with C‑level executives, including leading strategy consulting projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, or finance.
  • Data‑Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze data, translate data into actionable insights, and generate impactful recommendations using SQL.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional writing and verbal communication abilities with proficiency in creating impactful and visually appealing presentations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and persuade with different levels of stakeholders, especially senior management, with proven commercial acumen.
  • People Management Experience: Including hiring, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a get‑thing‑done attitude.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in digital or social media marketing.
  • Experience in the online travel or e‑commerce industry.
  • Experience in the flights industry.
  • Experience in hypothesis testing frameworks, statistical analysis, and using Python/R for data manipulation and analysis.
