At CLEMAP, we believe in a future where people, devices, buildings, and industries understand their energy flows and collaborate for a more sustainable energy usage. Our scalable end-to-end energy platform for Smart Grid and Smart Building enables us to offer highly modular solutions – from plug-and-play products to fully customized systems in flexibility, energy monitoring, and control.
To strengthen our growing team, we are looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer (80–100%)
You'll be working at the heart of the energy transition, developing robust IoT solutions that power smart grid systems, EV charging, and more.
Tasks
* Develop and maintain Python algorithms to control smart grid resources like EV charging stations and batteries.
* Maintain and improve software modules running on Linux-based platforms.
* Communicate with devices using protocols such as Modbus TCP and REST APIs.
* Work with both MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
* Build and maintain optimized Docker images for smooth deployment and scalability.
* Use CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
* Provide technical support and troubleshoot customer issues related to our software solutions.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in software development, ideally in IoT or energy sectors.
* Strong Python skills and in-depth experience with Linux systems (embedded or SBCs).
* Solid understanding of Docker, cloud services (especially AWS), and SQL/NoSQL databases.
* Familiarity with energy concepts (e.g. active/reactive power, voltage, current, power factor) is a strong plus.
* A structured approach, clear communication, and a collaborative spirit.
* A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
* Valid Swiss work permit and residency in Switzerland.
* A passion for sustainability and the desire to contribute to a greener energy future.
