Ph3Job Summary /h3 ul liDaily Handling of grain shipments and ensuring physical and financial strategies are correctly represented in Olam Agri’s systems. /li liProvide timely information to Trade Operation Manager and Head of Dubai Grains Oilseeds regarding all aspects of the grain business (physical grain, vessel positions, financial strategies, price exposure, laycans discharge windows, trade pricing, hedge position, demurrage/dispatch calculations) /li liIdentify opportunities to optimize cargo lifts and create additional value through proactive handling of vessels and positions. /li liRecognize (potential) issues and report them. /li liCollect, analyze and report data in order to track the performance of the operations. /li liSupport trading activities as required /li /ul h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDay to Day executions of grains bulk shipments (maize, wheat, barley, soybeans) on FOB/CNF/CIF. Be able to execute a shipment from A to Z. /li liDaily handling, review and reconciliation of physical positions. /li liResponsible for updating and maintaining Olam Agri’s systems ensuring that all physical positions, direct costs, budgets, freight rates differentials, trade prices, and financial strategies are correctly captured. /li liUnderstanding of cargo insurance terms and handling of cargo insurance claims /li liUnderstanding and strict following of sanctions and compliance requirements /li liClose coordination with Treasury and banks for bank collections, letters of credit issuance handling /li liUnderstanding of vessel chartering terms (charter party), laycans and post-fixture operations /li liProvide information flow to Reporting Manager regarding all operational matters. /li liIdentify opportunities to optimize positions – maximizing/minimizing cargo lifts, changing laycans/load dates, rolling hedges as appropriate /li liAssist the other team members as required /li /ul h3Job Requirements /h3 h3Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 3-5 years of direct work experience with a major commodity trading company in grains /li liProven experience with trade documentation /li liHands‑on experience in dealing with dry bulk vessels /li liProven experience in future give ups and linking futures hedges to physical contracts /li liExperience in currency covers linking to the deals /li liKnowledge of demurrage/dispatch calculations /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liExcellent knowledge of Letter of Credit, UCP600, Incoterms, GAFTA, ANEC, NAEGA, Inco grain /li liExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications /li liPossess Team spirit and able to work independently /li liPossess strong initiative, good interpersonal communication skills with different levels of people /li liAble to work in a hectic environment. /li liEnglish and French are a must.
