Overview The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) is the organisation which represents the people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professionals, and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations. EULAR is a non-profit scientific and educational association recognised by Swiss law. EULAR aims to reduce the impact of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) on the individual and society level and to improve the social position and quality of life of people with RMDs in Europe.
The EULAR Research Project Assistant will be part of the Research Department. Our highly dynamic team is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team player who will be involved in the scientific projects and initiatives of EULAR. Reporting to the EULAR Research Manager, you have an opportunity to interact with EULAR’s diverse departments and volunteers, empowering collaboration and progress in rheumatology research across Europe.
Your tasks Your tasks:
In this position, you will be involved in the scientific projects and initiatives of the EULAR Research Centre, including, but not limited to:
Development of the Research Centre’s initiatives : support development of data collection, assist in data collection and documentation processes, preparation of datasets for analysis, handle administrative aspects of ongoing projects or submission processes of future projects
Documentation : Support reporting on project activities, support preparation of communication and dissemination activities of project’s progress and results, draft presentations, protocols and documents to scientific and patient communities
Patient involvement : Support the facilitation of patient involvement and patient-researcher collaboration
Community engagement : Support coordination of network of centres, by communication and engaging the community
Cross-department and volunteers liaison : Liaise and communicate with patients, researchers and other stakeholders, collaborate with other EULAR teams as needed
Meeting organisation : Support preparation of virtual meetings, assist in preparation of in-person events
Governance : Support of research communication activities and research committee governance, preparation of communication and dissemination activities, supporting chairs and sub-committees as needed
Compliance : Work in compliance with GDPR and EULAR regulations
Your profile Bachelor degree (or high professional education) in life sciences/healthcare
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a comparable non-profit or scientific organisation and in GDPR work environments
Experience working with patients and/other healthcare professionals, in patient engagement practices, contributing to EU-funded research projects or participation in scientific research is a plus
Strong understanding of healthcare and research in an international context
Interest in rheumatology is a plus
Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
High level of integrity, responsibility, and team-player
Proficiency in common IT systems (MS office)
Availability to travel internationally
Interest in working in a multicultural, diverse environment
