We are expanding and seeking a passionate and motivated Project Architect (f/m/d) to join our Swiss team. The Project Architect will translate architectural design intent into detailed drawings and lead in-market activities to deliver high-quality, cost-effective gym designs that promote an inclusive 'everybody welcome' environment. Additionally, they will contribute to the Development team to foster best practices and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities: Support a Senior Project Architect based in the UK by providing activities necessary to deliver new and refurbished gyms, including:
Conduct architectural technical evaluations of sites, including detailed measured surveys.
Contribute to general arrangements, gym equipment layouts, and internal elevations, highlighting potential considerations such as height constraints or coordination conflicts.
Assist in obtaining permits, warrants, and permissions by providing necessary information to the property team.
Ensure all layouts and drawings incorporate technical, regulatory, and risk considerations, including fire regulations, structural loading, acoustics, local building regulations, planning, and permits.
Support the delivery of the property pipeline by providing architectural processes aligned with project milestones and approval stages.
Identify and mitigate design-related risks during project assessments.
Ensure on-site compliance with the approved architectural designs.
Requirements: Qualified Architect with recognized certification.
Degree-level education with a record of professional and personal development.
Experience in large-scale leisure, retail, hospitality, or similar organizations, managing multiple projects with significant onsite experience.
Fluent in French or German (preferably French) and English.
Technical understanding of construction methodologies.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is desirable.
Experience in managing relationships and performance of third-party contractors and advisors.
Ability to resolve complex situations and make critical decisions under pressure.
Proactive, accountable, adaptable, and quick to react in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex messages simply and influence at senior levels.
Commercial acumen to evaluate investment decisions balancing brand expectations and returns.
