The Opportunity
Your responsibilities include:
* Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Research and analyze access coverage, reimbursement levels, health and payer policies, competitive access landscapes to identify business opportunities enabled through access and assess the probability and impact of affecting positive change.
* Access Insight and Strategy Development: Apply expertise in consolidating and providing relevant access insights and supporting the development and execution of global access strategies and impactful access tools, including the Access Reimbursement Toolkit.
* Strategic Access Engagement Leadership: Act as a catalyst and coach for regional and affiliate implementation of global access strategies, identifying gaps, tailoring approaches, and accelerating time to reimbursement and effective funding for your prioritized products.
* Global-Regional-Affiliate Interface: Create frameworks for efficient transfer of global strategies and catalyze learning, sharing, and collaboration across organizations and territories by leading the Access Nexus pilot of your area – the key interface to the Regions and Countries driving your work in achieving reimbursement and funding.
* Affiliate Support: Support regions and affiliates in executing payer‑relevant access approaches, addressing access, reimbursement and funding barriers holistically, and leading projects to enhance local access capabilities with delivering tangible business growth through the realization of access opportunities.
* Shaping Sustainable Healthcare Systems: Support regions and affiliates in building plans and networks that aim for the creation of sustainable health care systems, affecting the regulatory frameworks of payers, Health Technology Assessment bodies and their advising network.
Travel of up to 20% is required.
Who you are
Master’s degree in business economics, life sciences, public health, marketing, or a related discipline; additional educational programs in market access preferred.
5+ years of commercial and/or access experience in the diagnostic/pharmaceutical or related industry.
Additional experience in related functions such as strategy, marketing, or health policy preferred; combined experience at both affiliate and global levels preferred.
Deep knowledge of the access landscape and country archetypes in healthcare systems worldwide such as the US, EU5, China and Japan and a strong mindset of growth and continuous learning.
In‑depth understanding of payers and their value drivers as well as trends in access, pricing & reimbursement and policy.
Strong relationships with key access stakeholders, decision‑makers, and influencers in key healthcare systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix environment and lead diverse teams through smart leadership.
Language proficiency: fluent in English and another relevant language.
