About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Laytime and Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting in preparing, reviewing and finalising laytime and operational processes.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Preparing, reviewing and finalizing laytime and demurrage calculations.
* Monitoring and following up on pending laytime files and unsettled claims.
* Managing freight and demurrage invoicing administration; issuance and settlement.
* Analysing Charter Party terms, voyage documentation and operational events to support claims.
* Communicating directly with relevant stakeholders (Owners, Broker, Agents, Ports, etc.).
* Daily contact with Trading and Traffic Teams in Baar and field offices worldwide.
* Maintaining accurate documentation filing per internal audit and compliance standards.
* Playing a significant role in enhancing operational processes and ensuring data integrity.
Requirements
* A sound educational background (commercial apprenticeship or bachelor).
* Minimum 3–4 years of experience with laytime and demurrage calculations in dry bulk and/or tanker shipping.
* Solid understanding of shipping operations, terminal procedures, and Charter Party terms.
* Experienced in MS Office usage and advanced user in IMOS.
* Well-versed in English (writing and speaking), and familiarity with additional languages is beneficial.
