Accounting Manager, Accounting Operations-Full Time-Winterthur,Switzerland

We are looking for anAccounting Manager, Accounting Operations to join our GF_Finance & Controlling, Accounting team in Switzerland.
In this role, you will oversee the local Accounting processes, ensuring alignment with global process standards and compliance with internal controls. As the Accounting Manager, you will manage local accounting staff, ensuring escalations are resolved, and mitigation procedures are defined and implemented. Your responsibilities will span core finance processes, including PTP, OTC, and RTR.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Country Head of Finance to lead and manage the local Accounting staff, ensuring high performance, development and team cohesion
Responsible for effectively liaising with the local Accounting teams and Finance Shared Services teams / Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider
Oversee local Accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing, including month end reporting & reconciliation
Ensure on-time filing of statutory financial statements and tax submissions in coordination with Group Tax and in compliance with local requirements
Manage internal & external audits and support Group Treasury hedging activities with transaction data underlying Sulzer hedging strategies
Closely collaborate with CoE Accounting team regarding payables management and strategy; approve payments
Assess standardization, optimization and automation potential based on market best practices and/or best in class Legal Entities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives jointly with the GPOs to enhance accounting processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including sales, customer service, BPO provider (DXC) and other departments to streamline Accounting processes, resolve issues and optimize end-to-end processes
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards
To succeed in this role, you will need:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
A minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
Prior experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is preferred
Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate and plan the work of assigned Accounting teams
Strong understanding of OTC and PTP processes, general accounting principles and financial reporting; expertise in RTR is a plus
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey key insights to senior leadership
Proficient in ERP systems and accounting software
Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
