Product Owner – Salesforce (Non-Profit Sector)
About the Role
Seeking a passionate and delivery-oriented Product Owner with strong Salesforce experience to support our enterprise-level grant management and operational platforms. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on expertise in agile delivery, a user‑focused mindset, and a strong understanding of the non‑profit domain. The Product Owner will work closely with cross‑functional Agile teams, business stakeholders, and program leadership to ensure that the solutions delivered meet organizational goals and maximize user value.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the voice of the customer for the Salesforce-based platform, with a focus on features supporting grants, programs, and operational reporting.
Own and manage the product backlog: prioritize features, refine user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
Translate business needs into clearly defined user stories and system behaviour for the Agile development team.
Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and participate in PI Planning sessions (SAFe framework).
Work closely with product managers, business analysts, QA teams, and developers to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
Coordinate with business product managers to validate requirements and test functionality.
Participate in system demos, UAT support, and ensure features meet functional and compliance expectations.
Promote system adoption by providing documentation input and supporting training content.
Skills & Attributes
Strong understanding of Agile principles (SAFe certification is a plus).
Excellent communication and facilitation skills with multicultural teams.
Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Fluent in English; working knowledge of French is an asset.
Education
Bachelor's or master’s degree in business, Information Systems, International Development, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
Hands‑on experience with Salesforce (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Nonprofit Cloud preferred).
Familiarity with platforms like Amp Impact or grants management systems is a strong plus.
Experience working in or with non‑profit, public health, or international development organizations.
