Product Manager Microbiology & Key Account Manager 100%
Your day as Product Manager Microbiology & Key Account Manager
* Responsibility for Product Management in Microbiology ID/AST/Lab Automation in Switzerland and across Axonlab subsidiaries
* Analysis of market dynamics (market indicators, pricing/pricing models, competitive landscape, product users/buyers, influencers, environmental factors, reimbursement, SWOT analysis)
* Identification and expansion of information sources; in-depth market knowledge per country
* Supervision of purchasing activities and management of the assigned product portfolio
* Maintaining price lists, promotional materials, digital platforms, product knowledge and information up to date — full ownership of product data
* Coordination of internal activities to clarify customer questions/issues, followed by evaluation and implementation
* Support of inside and field sales teams with product-related questions/visits; creation of new initiatives to improve market launches
* Participation in the budgeting process, development of baseline data, preparation of budget vs. actual analyses including action proposals in case of deviations
* Continuous initiatives to improve profitability
* Creation of mailings and product information materials (flyers, website content, etc.)
* Technical and application support for employees and customer accounts (including e-training or seminars)
* Support at trade fairs, exhibitions, symposia and customer events
* Sales-supporting measures (product extensions/sales tools)
* Synthesis of information into a competitive product/service offering
* Gathering customer experiences and market requirements
* Continuous customer contacts to guarantee and gain optimal market development and insight
* Regular face-to-face or remote contact with customers to exchange information and maintain a good relationship
* Generating new product ideas (also in collaboration with manufacturers)
* Exchange of information and experiences internally (reporting with management, sales, marketing) and externally with suppliers
* Active role in acquiring and sharing knowledge internally (Knowledge Management)
Your Profile as Product Manager Microbiology & Key Account Manager
* You have a degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences or equivalent scientific discipline
* Practical laboratory experience in microbiology and/or molecular diagnostics
* Field laboratory activity or hands-on experience within microbiology environments
* Experience in Product Management, preferably in microbiology or diagnostics
* Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic products
* Analytical thinker with quick comprehension
* Flexible and adaptable working style
* Fluent English required / German, French, and/or Italian are advantageous
