Responsibilities
* Technical link between Operations, R&D for plant equipment, quality-related questions and product-related customer complaints
* Technical support to establish regulatory relevant Omya standards (e.g. Nano, RCS, RMI, trace elements…)
* Establish QC standards/processes and promote their implementation across the Group
* Technical contact for Plant Labs to ensure lab. equipment are aligned and approved according to the Group Standards including software suppliers and interface
* Support sites on Quality Assurance topics for internal alignment with Group Standards
* Identify business needs for new methods and support development (easy, fast, cost-effective) and roll-out across the Group (information & training, definition of standard equipment)
Requirements
* University degree in engineering / chemistry or a relevant subject area is a must.
* Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant technical and/or lab service experience. International work experience is beneficial.
* Excellent understanding and knowledge of one or multiple Omya-served marketplace(s) (i.e., Polymers, Paints, Coatings, Adhesives, Cosmetics, Food, Pharma, Agriculture, Water & Air Treatment, etc.)
* Personality with an excellent service and entrepreneurial mindset, having a feeling for providing the right technical and lab service level to ensure and drive customer satisfaction.
* Proven effective self-motivation to drive assigned tasks and to promote collaboration across the organization.
* Effective communication skills (oral and writing) with the strong ability to interact with individuals from a range of backgrounds and at all levels.
* Excellent project management skills, incl. project documentation.
* Excellent analytical skills to interpret data from lab, field, and customer trials.
* Strong ability to give recommendations based on lab, field, and customer trial results.
* Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English is required. Additional language skills are beneficial.
* Availability for business travel up to 20-30 % of the time required.
