We are a dedicated team driving the LabX Software Business within the METTLER TOLEDO Laboratory division. LabX is a globally recognized software solution built with state-of-the-art technology to run in the cloud. It is used across pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, battery, semiconductor industries, and more, serving both small companies and large multinational key accounts. Join our global LabX team consisting of product management, marketing, business development, professional services delivery and technical customer support. To complete our cross unit LabX program organization we are looking for a Lead LabX Solution Product Manager 100% (all genders).
This role is based in our global headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee (close to Zurich), Switzerland.
You will own the LabX software product portfolio, driving product vision, strategy, and execution to maintain and grow METTLER TOLEDO’s leadership in the laboratory software market. You will lead a team of epic owners/product managers, work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success, and ensure delivery of valuable product increments aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities
* Ownership and management of the LabX product portfolio, ensuring clear differentiation and strong market positioning.
* Definition and drive of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with market opportunities and business goals; focusing on the why, what, and when of long-term planning and market alignment.
* Leadership of product discovery, backlog prioritization, and oversight of value streams to maximize delivered customer value.
* Making tough decisions and negotiations balancing investment between enhancing existing products and developing new features/products.
* Conducting market research, gathering customer feedback, and analyzing data to guide iterative product improvements and decision‐making.
* Launch of product increments to market together with the LabX Product Manager and LabX Marketing Manager.
* Partnering with business leadership to secure resources and align product metrics with high-level business goals.
* Leading in an international, cross‑functional environment, ensuring customer and stakeholder input shapes product decisions.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences (preferably in Chemistry or Biotechnology), or related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in software product management in a larger organization, ideally within the laboratory software industry or similar B2B software environments.
* Structured thinker and visionary leader, full of passion for the product and its success in the market. Capable of leading a team without formal authority from the spark of an idea through implementation with decisive decision making and clear setting of priorities to bring maximum value to customers in the shortest possible time.
* Proven track record of leading product strategy, vision, and roadmap development in a complex, matrix organization based on analysis of market trends and user research.
* Excellent interpersonal, cross‑cultural communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
* Strong technical background to translate complex software concepts into user‑friendly products.
* Experience working with larger customer segments such as Pharma, Chemical, Life Science, Food, or Testing Labs is a plus.
* Fluent in English (oral and written); German language skills are a plus.
