You will be part of the Avaloq Europe Platform Services team within the Private Bank Chief Operating Office (COO) and will work regularly with various stakeholders to gather requirements and coordinate with development teams for implementation.
As a Business Analyst, you will maintain and enhance business applications hosted and operated by a third-party vendor. Your focus will be understanding and defining business needs, analyzing data and processes, and translating these into functional specifications.
You will support the analysis and design of functional and technological solutions based on business, regulatory, and technical requirements, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of the Avaloq core banking system (and ideally Deutsche Bank customizations and interfaces) to create value for our business.
Responsibilities
* Manage Avaloq Book of Work for PB Europe International, develop project plans for change requests, define objectives, create timelines, and assign tasks.
* Gather, analyze, and document business and IT requirements for platform-related change requests, collaborating with Avaloq on implementation and testing.
* Support the Avaloq One-Code initiative with Emerging Markets.
* Provide support for functional issues or incidents raised by end-users.
* Review functional and technical proposals and specifications from Avaloq and other applications.
* Conduct hands-on testing and support expert users during testing phases.
* Lead resolution of client inquiries by collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and control standards to mitigate risks and protect the bank.
Skills
* Degree in Engineering, Computing, or Finance; Master preferred.
* Strong familiarity with Avaloq Core Platform; Avaloq certification is advantageous.
* Knowledge of banking business and products.
* Experience in project management, understanding the full application development lifecycle (Agile and Waterfall), and incident management.
* Excellent communication and client service skills, with a client-oriented mindset.
* Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts, and plan tasks effectively.
* Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working autonomously and within virtual, multicultural teams.
* Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and HP ALM is a plus.
* Proficiency in English is required.
