Responsibilities
* Using both mass spectrometry (MS) and non-MS based methods to create scalable targeted and untargeted protein assays. These assays will be applied to liquid biopsies, tissues, and in vitro models to discover and validate disease biomarkers, identify new drug targets, and elucidate drug mechanisms.
* Leading biomarker discovery projects across our therapeutic areas. This includes being accountable for the timely implementation of assays, generating project reports, and presenting findings to key stakeholders.
* Serving as an ambassador for our in-house and outsourced activities, providing expertise on experimental study design and analytical frameworks.
Requirements
* A PhD in Biochemistry or a related field. Biomarker experience within PhD or first industry experience in a related field
* Ideally with post-doctoral research experience in biomarker discovery and validation, preferably within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
* Expertise as a highly skilled experimentalist, capable of designing and executing complex studies using both targeted and untargeted MS and preferably also non-MS based approaches (e.g.,Olink).
* Exceptional competency in processing, analyzing, and interpreting both MS and ideally also non-MS based data.
