Senior EI&C Engineering Manager
The role of Senior EI&C Engineering Manager is a critical position in the Advanced Synthesis BioConjugates department. As a key member of the Plant Engineering Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of EI&C engineering, maintenance, and calibration within the assigned area.
This includes leading a team of senior engineers and specialists, managing resource planning, controlling costs, and implementing cost reduction measures. You will also be responsible for ensuring effective information exchange between upper management levels and the team, as well as promoting a culture of openness, cooperation, and continuous improvement.
A successful candidate will have extensive experience in EI&C engineering, maintenance, and calibration, with a strong understanding of business and financial processes. They will possess excellent leadership skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at higher levels, and a structured and proactive working attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and managing a team of EI&C Plant Engineers, EI&C engineers, and specialists.
- Responsible for resource and vacation planning of the assigned team members.
- Responsible for control of own cost, identifies and implements cost reduction measures.
- Evaluating and selecting vendors and contractors.
- Maintaining qualification status regarding cGMP and safety of production plants.
- Supporting the production manager in engineering and maintenance topics.
- Representing EI&C qualification and calibration during inspections by authorities and customer audits.
- Adhering to technical directives and laws (Lonza Standards, SVTI, ATEX and machinery directive, SOPs, etc.).
- Ensuring and managing interfaces to Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, QA, and QC.
